An absolutely fascinating visit, and an architectural gem. Full of beautiful sculpture, wall paintings, memorials, ironwork screens, so many Danish monarchs are emtombed here. So much history here, i took about 200 photos inside - please don't judge... Easy to get to from central Copenhagen, and not expensive, check out the town which is also very interesting, not to mention... More

A fantastic cathedral, where all Danish kings were buried. For the entrance fee you get a very good guide book with explanations and descriptions of the different parts of the cathedral. More

Once of the most interesting and stunning cathedrals I have visited. I only wish there was a guided tour so you could learn more. More

With it's brick build, and protestant faith, this Cathedral is quite different from others in Europe. I loved the wall paintings and the massive sarcophagi of Danish monarchs were impressive. I don't quite believe Christian 1's height mark on the pillar! Prince Philip's looks Ok and Prince Charles a bit short! Get children to find the pillar and the mechanical... More

Main burial site of Danish monarchs. Extended and altered over the centuries to accommodate a number of burial chapels. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. More

The building is magnificent, the tombs well worth visiting and the location in central Roskilde makes for a nice day trip from Copenhagen More
