This is a must see for any visitor to Stockholm. The ship is truely impressive and is the historical displays. Our children still remember the dive bell and mentioned it when we went diving. The display of period clothing and dental norm is something they also have not forgotten. It is a visit for families both young and old, friends,... More

The Vasa Museum was built for a single purpose only – to display the Vasa warship which sank in 1628 on her maiden voyage and was salvaged in 1961 (the only preserved 17th century ship in the world, it is also fascinating viewing). Although you cannot actually board the vessel you can get up pretty close and personal to it... More

The Vasa Museum was truly an amazing experience. We could already see the masts sticking out from the building. We took a boat from the Old town part to get to the museum. You can see the history of the ship and it's huge! Discover how it sunk and how much effort it took to dig it back up from... More

I am not that interested in maritime history, but the Vasa Museum does it so well that I enjoyed every minute of our visit. The story of the Vasa is compelling, and the museum is remarkable. The ship can be viewed from different levels of the museum in order to get a better perspective of the size of the ship.... More

Very popular with long, but fast moving queues. We got there via the 'Hop on, Hop off' ferry, however the city tram stops here as do the buses. It's right next to the humungous Nordic Museum. Not just the Vasa itself but also an old ice breaker, light ship, etc. A nice wee cafe on the ice breaker with a... More

This is incredible! The ship is completely intact and over 60 metre long! It is housed it the museum which is 7 stories high. great to do on a rainy day as it is all indoors and no windows to protect the ship from UV. The history associated with both the ship and the museum is fascinating. Well worth a... More

The museum is build around the recovered and restaured Vasa Ship. We were there with our two children (10 and 5). They were impressed also. We watched the movie about the recovery and althought they do not speak Swedish or English they understood. The museum gives a great look into the 17th century. You can learn more about history, but... More

Really good value for money (for stockholm) a lot to see and we spent a good 4 hours wondering around although you could do it quicker if you wanted. The Ship was amazing to see and much bigger than i imagined. almost all... More
