Booking online was easy enough, and recommended as you will get (eventually) put to the front of the queue at the Strandvägen dock - note that things can be a little chaotic here, rather un-Swedish. If you want lunch, I advise booking that also, as tables upstairs on the boat can be hard to come by, so booking lunch is...

Stromma (http://www.stromma.se/) do various types of Stockholm cruises. Which ones are available depends on the day, the season, etc. I booked an Archipelago Tour, which goes most of the year, to see the islands of the Stockholm archipelago. The weather turned out gorgeous, and this tour turned out to be the highlight of the whole visit.
