This was the reason Mum and I visited Sweden as we're both fans of the artist. The visit didn't disappoint and lived up to every expectation and more. We were there at the start of the season and were lucky enough to have a tour all to ourselves which felt extremely special. Even if you don't know anything about the... More

While in Falun do not miss Carl Larson, if you like art it is a must. Enfin de siecle he was very big in Sweden and we love him. Interesting house, though small. The village Sundborn is lovely. More

I went to see the Carl Larsson house together with my parents after I moved to Dalarna (the region the house is located in). I was absolutely enchanted and would gladly go back there with other friends and visitors when I get the chance. As the name says, this is the home of the Carl Larsson family and thus not... More

It is just ridiculous to read the comments by Madtron, the reviewer from 4/22/08. Carl Larsson Gården is well worth the visit. I went there myself a few years ago and I found myself feeling so good, by just being there, that I stayed the whole day. I recommend a visitor to read a little about the Larsson's before going... Can we just get a few things straight? 1. Carl Larsson-garden is NOT a UNESCO World Heritage Site and never has been. 2. Madtron, the reviewer from 4/22/08 (who claims he lives near, but lists his home in his profile as Patagonia) asserts falsely that it is before going on to bad mouth the place and make offensive bigoted statements... This house and the land around it is such an oasis of beauty and calmness. I can just totally understand how living there would be so harmonic. In terms of world heritage I believe that as the interior and exterior of the house created by Karin and Carl Larsson was totally revolutionising and changed the style of interior design among... I don't agree with previous review. Yes you won't see many Carl-Larsson Paintings and that's probably due to security reasons. Carl Larrson, a beloved Swedish artist, spent his life painting his family and his home, which is now open as a small museum. Those of you who are familiar with Larsson’s work will treasure the tour which takes you through... More

I visited the Carl Larsson-garden, because it was near to where I live and because people around here are proud that it's a world heritage site. Carl Larsson was a painter and paintings or any artwork, for them to be good or bad, depends on the eye of the beholder. His style was original at the time. But I still... More
