We were in Gothenburg for one night so wanted to make it count. after reading here about Avenyn we headed there first at about 8 on a saturday night, we were dissapointed at first, only a few Irish pubs, so we searched around the city and found small pockets of bars for cocktails. then some locals said they were heading... more
Some things to see and there are some nice gems, but understand that if you go to a restaurant or café on Avenyn, you are paying a tourist premium. A few streets over, it will be cheaper. more
This is a splendid avenue offering the visitor the best that this fine city offers,I enjoyed walking up and down this avenue enjoying its fine shops.From this great street,you have easy access to this city's art museum,the Rohuska Museum of Decorative Art,the Saluhallen(this city's fine central market),and the University of Gothenburg. more
The Aveny in Gothenburg is a buzzing place full of restaurants and night clubs at least if you go on a Friday or a Saturday.
