This lovely Orthodox Church is beautiful inside and is one of the dominating structures of the Helsinki skyline. One has a bit of climbing to go inside, but it is worth it. more
If you've never seen an orthodox cathedral, the Uspenski Cathedral is well worth a visit. It is centrally located, only a few steps from the central open air market in the South Harbor, on top of a hill. Beautiful icons and gold everywhere inside the cathedral. The view from the hill over the harbor and city is exquisite as well.... more
