Nowadays it houses an acoustically perfect Music House of Helsinki but outside resembling a warehouse. Worth of listening but not seeing. More

A walk around Toolo Bay is lovely in any season. The picture given here is no indication of the beauty of the place. It is possible to walk around 80% of the bay without encountering any traffic or ugliness. A portion of the walk is ruined by the Helsinki train station but you can bail out at the music hall... It's a nice 1.5 mile walk around the bay, not far from the city centre. Nice old wooden mansions, lots of joggers, dog walkers and swans. Enjoy a cup of coffee outside with great views of the bay and also the primary sights of Helsinki. It's a beautiful place on a summer or autumn day. More

Actually a bay but more like a small lake, very popular with joggers, plenty of water fowl, ducks, swans, a nice cafe near the Opera. A Winter Hothouse is worth a look as well. More
