Tove Jansson's Mumintroll books became a big hit in England in the 1950s. They filtered through to our children's library when I was in primary school. Jansson was a graphic artist who could also tell a great story, and the Mumin stories certainly were something to us as kids. If you don't know what Moomins are or don't understand their charm, this museum is not for you! The Finnis will always have a very special place in their hearts for Tove Jansson and her dear little Moomins.
