New building with functional architecture. Good reading areas. In the centre of the city, one block from the market square. More

This library is pretty big compared to what I'm used to and they do have a nice children's play area. However, I am very disappointed with their selection of children's books. My daughter is quite small so I go for the hardcover books and would like to have some books with real photos. They have very few of those, but... More

This is a library to be proud of. Check the old end and its amazing hall. Walk through to the modern end and feel the Finnish library culture. Even check your home newspapers. More

The City Library downtown is a modern living room for the people of Turku. More than 1 million visits a year is the proof. Cool architecture, nice interior, excellent books, very big collection of both local AND international newspapers and magazines free for everyone to read on location, internet, music libbrary etc. More

A modern architectural gem in the very centre of the city. Nice facilitied for reading domestic & internatinal papers or just sit down and read a book of your own or from a shelf. Can't tell the quality of the selection of books as I basically use other libraries or buy mine, but the building is definitely worth visiting. More

as my finnish is not good enough for reading suomi reading matter, most of the library is redundant to me. they do have a good selection of english books though, as well as a wide selection of international newspapers which i like to peruse when i have a visit, unfortunately the area for reading is between the 2 sections of... Library is a very nice place to stop by. The architecture combining the old and the new part is excellent. The cafeteria is a good place for lunch or even for a glass of sparkling. More

The beautiful new extension of Turku City Library became an important hub of the downtown, and people of Turku are proud of it. The new building has been praised by architects, librarians and users. The old side of the library is great too, a more traditional library atmosphere. Loads of students and other people come here to Turku City Library's... More
