No matter if you are a knight or young maid, represent the nobility or the peasantry, it is time for your to dive into the Middle Ages! Turku Medieval Market at the end on June offers Medieval amusements for the whole family. The tables will groan with delicacies, the fierceful knights will show their strength and the handicraftsmen will show their skills at the Medieval Market. The event is one of the biggest in Finland.

This is the best (and original) Medieval Market in Finland. There´s free theathre shows at the market: knights, priests, merchants, old-time citicens, executioner etc. among the people. Be aware, you might be surprised!

A fun fair really, similar to the Turku X-mas market or the Turku Herring market. I best liked the overpriced grilled porkbratwursts.

So, like I said, the market is held only a stones throw away from the centrum. Not 6,9km, like it said on the info. It's REALLY a worth a visit. There are lots of actors and craftsmen dressed up in medieaval costumes displaying the crafts of the medieval times (for example soapmaking, brewing beer, blacksmith work, coinmaking etc. these things...
