The opening hours here are ridiculous. I'm a morning person and was annoyed that nothing in Iceland opens before 10, but the Maritime Museum doesn't unlock the doors until 11am. It is a very well made museum, easy accessible, and children friendly! You can actually touch things and experience the old seaman life, as, for instance, spread salt on salt fish or lay down in the ship bunk beds, or touch old mariner's clothes! More
