This spare but beautifully designed building housed some wonderful exhibits while I was in town, including an installation by Yoshitomo Nara that was delightful. It's easy to navigate, and great to just spend time exploring. There is a delicious on-site cafe that has lots of local food offerings, including vegetariain options. The exterior of the Reykjavik Art Museum on Tryggvagata 17 is pretty stark.
