The museum tells several Icelandic sagas, but could use an initial description to put sagas in context of Icelandic history. I found it difficult to follow the the general history and where one saga ended and the other began. The museum would have made more sense if we had returned at the end of our trip when we had more... More

Our family of 12 -- from 11 years to 75 wanted to learn about the Noway vikings and their journey to Iceland. Very interesting museum, cute gift shop and the cafe was amazing. Not a "must do", but if you have time it is worth the trip. More

Many seats available to rest at many of the displays. there is a mp3 audio give at the start . At the very end there is a video which shows how it was built and the figures made and... More

This was the perfect introduction to the history of the Norse people of Iceland. The exhibition is linear and you are given a headset which commentates on each of the sections in front of you. Each story has models of the people involved and the video at the end shows the lengths the exhibition went to in order to ensure... More

It was interesting, if a bit blood thirsty. Not suitable for those of a sensitive nature or young children. More
