Not of the greatest interest for me, if you are interested in the local culture then it's worth visiting. More

This was a very good museum. Exhibits were beautifully presented and well thought through. Wish we had more time here. More

Historically quite interesting, but too many of the ancient books were only reproductions. Very friendly staff, and because it was Wednesday it was free, so go on a Wednesday! More

Place of the Icelandic Sagas with lots of the original documents on display. So somewhat similar to Magna Carta or the Bayeux Tapestry. If you are into it then it is an excellent museum. Be warned that not all displays are translated and many only available in Icelandic. More

The Culture House, located in the beautiful former National Library, is dedicated to the medieval history of the country. The descriptions of the events are smartly done giving enough information without overwhelming the visitor. The highlights are the magnificent illuminated vellum manuscripts, photocopies or originals, of the old Sagas. If you want something authentic, you should go there! There are... More

Dand978 pretty much said it all. I've been there last week and finished looking at the exhibits in under an hour. The exhibits for the ancient viking scripts weren't available during my visit. On the 4th Floor are film exhibits with chairs for you to sit down and watch some old Iceland films, which are worth checking out. More

There are multiple exhibits here including some original sagas and a piece on Icelandic film. Both are worth checking out extensively. There is a menagerie of animals one on of the middle floors that doesn't really seem to fit in, but is still neat to look at. The price is right and the location is also central so you should...
