The images and objects show give a good impression of the importance of Malta in WW II and also how much it suffered to withstand the endless bombardments by the Italians and Nazis. More

Worth a visit if you are interested in the role Malta had during WWll. A bit crammed feeling and a lot of things to read so may not be to everyone's taste and I would most certainly avoid it if you have impatient teenagers. I enjoy WWll history and spent an hour here. More

I visited this museum about 10 years ago and it was a bit of a mess but has now been transformed. At 6e it is very good value. Laid out in chronological order, it tells a very detailed story of the island throughout the war. It is crammed full of items from one of the three planes that defended the... More

Very detailed account of the role Malta played in the First and (mainly) the Second World Wars. the exhibition is very detailed, so most children will find it rather hard going I guess, and while the objects are good they are rather dwarfed by the amount of writing. I loved this, but I appreciate that it would not be to... More

This museum overwhelmingly concentrates on Malta's role in WWII and its importance to the Allied fight in the Mediterranean and North Africa. While the exhibits are of interest the narrative panels provide the detail and context that helps bring to life the way the war affected the whole population and how close Malta was to surrendering to the Germans. Coupled... More
