Right after landing in Luqa Airport, we drove to the nearby temples of Mnajdra and Hagar Qim. We expected them to be large, with audio guides and lots of panels with information, so we paid the admission price of 9 euro per adult to visit them. How disappointing! I agree with the previous reviewer about the price of the entrance. There are 4 of us and I too thought the price was a bit steep for what we saw. I was very disappointed with the Mnajdra and Hagar Qim temples. Many of the artifacts have been removed to the Archaeological Museum in Valletta. The temples are currently (Oct. 2009) covered by large tents to protect them from the weather. While I understand this is necessary, it detracts from the experience.
