Forget Stonehenge, this is much more impressive, and definitely much older. The setting is also magnificent. The primitive building contrasts beautifully with the super-modern tent structure that was built recently to help protect the temples. Do not be discouraged by the long walk from the car park - it is worth it!! More

many of the earlier reviews, which commented on a lack of information, are outdated, as there is a now an impressive visitor centre with as much information as anyone (except perhaps a professional archaeologist) could want. It is true that little information is provided about the people who built the temples, but this is because no such information is available.... More

We enjoyed our visit and the site is really interesting. Our only regret is that there is very little information about the people who built the temple at the site or in any of the guide books. More

Beautiful views of the coast, picturesque walk, but unsuitable for wheelchair (inside the temples there are boardwaks, but to get in one has to overcome some thresholds) More

Hagar Qim and Mnajdra two megalithic temples at a short walk from each other. They go back to 3600 BC!! What else to add?? I don't want to spoil the incredibly emotion you can experience walking there! However I must say that the tent-like structures covering the place somewhat spoil the view, but is needed to preserved from further weather... More

An interesting visit and on the route of the South hop on and hop off bus. It's claimed that they are 3600 BC. A visit to the Blue Grotto and the temples is well worth it. More

Mnajdra Temples are 600 metres down a path from Hajar Qim Temples. Both are fascinating. Both are around 3,600 years old. They're easy to get to - take bus 201 from the airport bus terminus (an hourly service). There's a spacious, air-conditioned cafe at Hajar Qim Temples for lunch. More

If a tourist does not visit these temples it would have been worthless coming to Malta. These temples date back way before the Pyramids of Egypt and are considered as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Nothing more to add but go and see the great marvel of pre-history in Malta. You shall never see something like this anywhere in the... More
