I highly recommend a visit to these fortifications. We had a lot of fun exploring all of the passages. We spent about 2 hours including taking pictures. I would say to take a jacket as it can get chilly and windy at times. Please do not leave your trash in and around this site. I was sad to see all... more

The Bock Casemates are part of Luxembourg City's Old Fortifications and an excellent example of military architecture spanning several centuries. The Old Fortifications are the only UNESCO World Heritage site in the country (perhaps excluding Clervaux's "The Family of Man") and quite stunning when taken in context of the surrounding valley and its history. Easily the highlight of my trip to Luxembourg City. The views from the Bock casemates are awesome (and likewise from the nearby bridge to the casemates). Not to be missed. more
