Interesting site but nothing to do against the main archaeological sites in Cyprus. Kourion, Salamis and Kato Paphos are among the best archaeological sites in the mediterranean, but not Amathous.
Interesting but not a large area compared to other sites
Amathus ruins are few in number but located by the sea at the end of Limassol Tourist District, where you can walk the quiet sea-side board-walk, or climb up the floral cliffy heights to savour the Mediterranean views.
Historic, quiet and interesting - wotrth a stroll!!!!!
Well worth a visit if you like visiting old historic ruins. Not difficult to get to
Whatever is left of ancient Amathus is worth visiting,as this was once a great mediterranian port.On a clear day you can see forever.
If you are a serious walker then you will have no problems here, as most of the ruins are quite high up and you will need to climb. Once up there though the views over the sea are wonderful.
Was very quiet when we got there most of information is at the entrance and at only a couple of euros ypou cant really fo wrong
