Takes about 15 minutes to drive from Paphos. Not a massive amount to see but the caves where the hermit lived are worth a look. We particularly enjoyed a walk through the public grounds of the monastry and our kids amused themselves in trying to "spot" as many as possible of the 7 monks who live there. Most amazing place! My son (12) was astounded by Neophytos' skull on show! And that people were kissing it! He couldn't believe that someone could live in such a small space for such a long time. What no car, computer, TV, mobile phone??! Well worth a visit! more

Ayios Neophytos Monastery is only about 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Paphos centre. On arrival you will be impressed first of all by the 20-30 cats that greet you in the car park and then by the commanding views you will see over Paphos from this site which is 1694 feet in height.
