We visited several palaces in France (the most interesting was the Palais de Papes in Avignon). This one was really a waste of time. The self-guided audio tour was the most expensive of the trip, but unfortunately also the shortest and most boring. The commentary on the audio tour was trying way too hard to make it interesting through superlatives... More

Probably worth a quick visit (30 mins or so will suffice) but you'll visit plenty of more interesting and more beautiful palaces around the world. The English audiotour didn't do it for me (I found it ponderous and dull). Entry fee of 8 Euros (April 2012) isn't bad and gets you in to the small museum next door as well.
