It was a fascinating museum with its aquarium and shark lagoon. It displays a living coral reef, transplanted from the Red Sea. The entrance ticket is Euro 14/adult. It opens daily.

The museum is at the top of a hill along with the palace, cathedral, and a beautiful cliffside garden. If you don't like the stairs, you can take the city bus (look up line info on the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco website). The upper floors form a combination nautical/natural history/art museum: be sure to see the collection of decorated...

We arrived here around 5 p.m. on a miserable, cold wet day when the rain was pouring buckets with a 4 year old, 16 year old and bored 12 year old. If anyone hits the aquarium - the above ground part is only really interesting for the architecture and a look at what museums were like in the 19th century...

A old school Aquarium with a diverse collection, housed in wonderful building.
The building itself and the location are very great!
The exhibition is huge and truly spectacular! When we were there we had that nice little extra that there was an exhibition about the marriage of Albert and Charlene and it was nice to see that wedding dress in reality. But obviously that was not our motivation to visit the musee...

It's a very interesting museum, which tells the story of modern oceonografia. There are beautiful exhibition halls and a beautiful panoramic terrace. The aquarium is not large as that of Genoa, but has so much diversity and it's always a diversion for kids and adults! It's better to go on weekdays, on weekends it's crowded. But it's worth it!
Having been to some of the best aquariums in the world (i.e. Monterey and Sydney aquariums), I expected this museum to be subpar from the standards I am used to. I was proven wrong! The displays at this museum were just so beautifully and clearly presented. They have a wide array of creatures that are beyond fascinating (Don't miss the...

a beautiful visit. The quarium is big enough but with i quality. Very interesting with many species shown.
It's a really very well made and interesting ocenarium with lots of different species from all over the world. If you have an interest in marine life you'll spend a good few hours there. I spent there 3 hours and easily could have stayed more.
Definitely worth queuing for. The exhibits were inspiring and laid out very well with plenty of educational information. No problems if your French is not too great either. Reasonable shop with gifts for all purses. Good rooftop cafe for refreshments was a godsend in the heat.
Don't miss it. Great for all ages. Allow at least a couple of hours....
