The Musee Oceanographique de Monaco includes things that Albert I collected on his many expeditions to the sea. Essentially, he was a marine biologist. The downstairs is a regular aquarium, but upstairs are all kinds of things regarding the sea in the early 1900s. The aquarium downstairs is not that impressive. What a wonderful time I had last year when I visited this beautiful city! I had 2 hours to spend before dinner so we decided to go. Let me just say 2 hours was not enough! The Musée Océanographique de Monaco is a 'not to be missed' location if you travel anywhere near Monte Carlo. The Museum is built into the side of the rocky coastal cliff.
