We went there especially to see the Castle. We walked all the way to the top, and guess what - it was close!!!! Anyway the Castle is great just to see. Wonderful view from the top.

If you are anywhere near Klagenfurt, it is 100% worth the drive to see Hochosterwitz sitting on the hill! As you can tell from the attached, unedited photographs, it is a truly spectacular site, and the farmlands along the road leading to it allow for plenty of photography. So picturesque, it doesn’t look real!
That is where the fun ends....
