Patient tour guide & know what he is talking about & attentive
- SUPER cheesy but so much fun - singalongs on the bus - enough time to see all the sights and take photos
We had a lovely time on this Sound of Music tour. We went on a Monday in May for the 9:30am tour. The tour guide was really good - he knew a lot about the movie and its setting as well as a lot on Salzburg and the hills and lakes around. Both he and the driver were very nice...

really glad we took the tour because it took us to the Lake District and sites where we would not get to otherwise.
This was my Mother's Day gift to myself! I love the movie and wanted to see the sites where the movie was made. The tour also went around the lakes of Salzburg and into the countryside. It's a "must" as far as I'm concerned for those visiting Salzburg!

The tour guide we had was a wonderful gentlemen with an 8 passenger bus. It definitely helps to be in the front if you have a hard time hearing. Too bad it was a cold day as we wanted to stay in the bus and some shops are closed in the winter if you take the afternoon tour.
This was just amazing. We did their private tour in a minivan - 6 of us. Our tour guide, Naomi, was the best. She has incredible humour and knowledge about Salzburg - old and new. The tour takes you out to the most breathe taking views of Salzburg - four different lakes back dropped with snow capped peaks - crisp...

It is worth to take this tour even if you are not a big fan of the Sound of music film. You had a chance to see very nice places and also to go in lake areas. Excellent, beautiful views. The stop to the wedding church for lunch was great and you have a few restaurants to select from or...

37euros is indeed pretty steep. I had a wonderful tourguide and driver (I'm sorry I didn't get their names)! The guy with the American accent was so hilarious throughout the 4 hours that it was like paying for a tour with stand up comedy.
Yes you could take the 15 euro hop on and off bus and yes it would...
