Enjoyed day trip from Bratislava to Vienna. The big advantage the boat has over the train is the they both land right in the centre of where you want to be in both cities. I was staying in the old town in Bratislava so it was just a few minutes walk to get the ferry whereas it was much longer... more

Remember how Europe is famous for its trains? How one can go anywhere? Well, go by train anywhere you like, but if you are traveling between Vienna and Bratislava, forget the train! Go by boat! We were in Vienna for 3 days. Which was nice, but a) a bit long and b) one of those days was Sunday. Everything was closed tight, so we opted for a trip down the Blue-ish Danube via the Twin City Liner to Bratislava and had a marvelous time.
