We heard phenomenal reviews about the riding school, and everyone says that the Morning Exercise is a cheaper way to see what its all about. We bought tickets and sat there for 30 minutes watching barely anything. They brought out about 4-5 horses, and trotted around in the oval arena continuously. They did nothing else. No choreography, no special moves-... more

We visited the "morning training" show with our family and hoped to see a short version of their show. Instead, we just sat there waiting while some of the staff members were strolling back and forth on the arena. After a while, they came in with one horse, which slowly walked around in a circle. Then another horse, etc. Our... more

In June 2009 we attended the Morning Exercises at the Spanish Riding School. We had expected to see a practice/run through of the evening performance, but we were sadly disappointed. The horses merely trotted in an oval around the arena for two hours. I suppose they were truly just getting their exercise, because they did virtually no choreography. In our... more

I overpaid for Lipizzaner Show tickets recently and wanted to pass on some information that I wish I had known: Tickets can be DIRECTLY booked at the Spanish Riding School www.srs.at. Had I booked the two tickets directly I would have saved EUR 40. All in all, if you love horses don't miss the show! more

Visiting the Spanish Riding School was a childhood dream come true. I loved the morning exercises and discovered you could use your ticket for 2 days in a row. The tour could be far more interesting, but you do at least get close to the wonderful stallions. The school has such a long and interesting history and there must be... more

Show Review: We attended a Saturday Show performance and I loved it. The horses were beautiful, synchronization was incredible, and it was just fanstastic. I loved the movement and technique of both horses and riders. One thing I recommend if you decide to see a performance, buy the tickets on the ground level at both ends of the rink (each... more

Unless you have never seen horses trot around to music and think you'd really enjoy doing so, I would highly recommend saving your money for something else. We were warned about this but paid to see the morning exercises anyway. Turned out to be a huge disappointment and a criminal waste of money. The venue was nice, but pales beside... more

This was a beautiful venue but someone should have explained exactly what the horses were going to do.......which was just trot around and nothing else. When they say morning exercises, you would expect that they would be practicing something for their shows but they do not. This was alot of entrance fee money for watching nothing. Do not waste your... more

I agree with many of the previous posters regarding the morning workout. The Spanish Riding School is an attraction whose enjoyment is often dependant upon an ownership or hobby interest in horses. If you own, show or ride on a frequent basis, you will more than likely love the morning workout and be thoroughly entertained for the entire two hours.... more

The morning exercise is worth seeing, and for the price, recommended. It is however, nothing like an actual performance. This is only a light exercise. It does last for two hours and towards the end a few stunts are practiced. I went to this event because it was a convenient and interesting way to spend my last few hours in... more
