The Naschmarkt is a wonderful assault on the senses - the displays in the market section are wonderful to see and smell. Anyone with a passing interest in food should make the Naschmarkt a place to visit in Vienna. In fact make it a point to take a meal there either by sampling at the many stalls or by trying one of many restaurants situated in the market. This is an amazing permanant food market where you can buy anything from a carrot to exotic oriental spices. The atmosphere is more of an eastern market with traders calling and offering samples. On Saturdays a fleamarket extends the Naschmarkt even further where anything from junk to antiques are offered for sale. more
