Christkindlmarkt was beautiful. The huts were filled with adorable souvenirs or you could get toasted chestnuts with a hot drink. It was made to fit a christmas card. The warmth of the drinks was great against the cold. Put the christkindlmarkt on your list!

The Chistmas markets in Vienna are superb, nice atmosphere, not to crowded, brilliant sausages and the Punsch at the market behind Belvedere is the best! Maroni- vanille punsch, Marzipan punsch, how brilliant is that! We loved to stroll around the markets after dark, it gets really romantic.

I love it here during Christmas time....the trinkets sold at each stand are basically that...trinkets, but they are so much fun to go and see.
