This is a small market with no atmosphere at all. Its just a few stalls on side streets. I found them on the expensive side. I'd only really take a ramble through this if on the way somewhere else. You are better off going to one of the bigger ones.

It doesn't open till after 2:00 PM. Lots of junk - at least 2 stands from Mexico; best rule of thumb is that everything was overpriced. This was highly touted - can't imagine why. We thought Freyung area market was much better, or Rathaus - not Karlsplatz - their rule that all the vendors must make their art objects makes...

There are lots of Christmas markets in Vienna and I actually like each and every one of them. Each has its own character that sets is apart from the others. And although the market by the Rathaus is the largest and most well known, the market in Spittelberg is the most intimate and possibly the least expensive of them all....
