I went with my daughter to see the Sound of Music..the production was in german with English subtitles but most of us are so familiar with the Sound of Music in the US..it didn't really matter...the show was really well done,beautiful voices...we really enjoyed it,and we had excellent seats for only 35.00 each...would have been 100.00 on Broadway..it was interesting...

It was a great Opera house .Together with the friends we had chance to see "La Travviata" of Verdi .The show and the teather atmosphere was excellent. Not only State Opera House but The Voklsteather is also perfect for the operas you if have time at Vienna . Don't forget to get the tickets earlier then venue. :)

The Volkstheater isn't as impressive as the Staatsoper, but it's still worth a look - one of the prettiest buildings in Vienna!
