We visited this church for the tour of the catacombs and we were very impressed. We had visited the Stephendom crypt and were underwhelmed. This was a completely different experience. There are certainly better churches in Vienna, but Michaelerkirche is sitting in prime real estate across from the main entrance to the Hofburg. In fact, it is somewhat easy to miss St. Michaels but tt is well worth a few minutes to check out some of the amazing art work around the altar.

This is another beautiful church of Vienna located near the Hofburg and in fornt of a square that actually contains ruins from the times when the Romans first built up Vienna.
