It is definitely one of the main hot-spots for culture in Vienna. It is not located directly within the centre but still easy to reach via tram "D". It is less crowded and a hot tip to get to see extraordinary pieces of art! More

A great collection, but a troubled museum. I heard it's closing to the public and will be appointment-only from now on. Not sure if this is true or not. More

Maybe it's because I like to fantasize about the museum being my private home, but it really is a lovely place to visit. My favorite time is on a Sunday afternoon in the summer. Take a stroll through the magnificent rooms, definitely visit the gift shop and have a coffee outside just off the front lawn. The exhibition changes regularly,... More

We just visited in November, our second time. We regretted that we were not there for a Sunday concert but once more we loved the museum. After we returned home, we learned the museum is closing to the public after the first of the year. This is one of our very favorite museums in Vienna and we will miss it.... More

I went here as one of the receptions as part of a conference I attended was held here. We had a guided tour which was helpful. The art was fascinating but if you're not into art galleries, find something else to do. More

Very sad news. Beginning January 1st 2012, the museum will be closed to the public, so will the Rubens restaurant. They will continue to be open to groups in a form or another. This is very sad indeed. Go visit it now, before it's closed!!! More

They may not have the quantity, but everything in this museum is perfectly presented and in the very best condition. It was a real surprise to us and definitely a highlight of the trip. More

As well as paintings (numerous Reubens in fact), there are sculptures, furniture and miscellaneous pieces, giving a good mix of interest. We only did the permanent collection and found that worth doing. More

The Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna is one of the best small museums of Europe with a fabulous collection. The building is a visit worth all on its own. The Vienna home of the princely family is amazing and the perfect setting of the art collection. After visiting the dreary Hofburg and boring Schönbrun this is par with the Kunsthistorische Museum...
