We rented a motor home from http://bobilportal.no and drove from Stavanger to the North Cape. Must be one of the worlds great drives for camers and rv`s. Buetiful views all the way but the road toll and ferries can get expencive.

I visted the North Cape in February 2012 and booked with Hurtigruten. I'm not really sure what the other reviewers expected however Norway is very remote and what you see is what you get! Unspoilt beauty and peace and quiet!! Not a Starbucks or McDonalds in sight. That in itself is a bonus. It was busy when we first arrived... More

You may visit North Cape mid-winter. As I did on February 19th 2012. Made I flight by Finnair to Ivalo and went by rental car to the northcape: around 450km. I did it with a cheap car, VW Golf 1.2 (Hertz: 80 euro a day, unlimited km). All rental cars in Northern Finland are equiped with spikes. It take around... More

I visited the North cape as an excursion from the Hurtigruten ship. It was a miserable place bleak, remote and dark. I wish Id spent my hard earned money on something else. The ground was covered in compacted ice and people were falling over trying to get to the globe. We went in convoy with 2 other coaches with a... More

This was for us an add-on excursion to our Arctic cruise. At £82 per person we thought it was expensive for what it was. Basically they take you in a coach through the bleak countryside to the North Cape which they say is the northernmost point of Europe above the 71st parallel. When you get there they tell you that... Cold, blustery, bleak, and beautiful. Perched on a thousand foot sea cliff on the northernmost point in europe. The various sculptures around the museum were pretty mundane, but the museum/gift shop/foodery was impressive (and warm!). Lots of souvenirs, ranging from pure kitsch to some pretty nice stuff. The road up there from the port is narrow and fairly spectacular ,... More

The trip from Honningsvard to North Cape on the bus was one of the most frightening of my life. The winds literally pushed the buses sideways even with spiked wheels with chains. But these being Northern Norwegians they were non plussed and soldiered on. We arrived at the our destination on the darkest and blusteriest of days and all I... More

We went on a COSMOS tour and got luckly with the weather - it was perfect weather! This was one of my mus-see-places-before-I-die. Some of the lakes were so clear and still that the reflection of the sun-lit sky at 1:00AM gave us some really good pics to treasure.
