Hey, Great tour company, the people and guides involved were lovely and very friendly, dogs kept well and the equipment (i.e. the suits and other warm weather clothing) was abundant and in fine condition. So why 2 stars? Everything in Norway is expensive, the dog sledding trips especially so. That's just the way it is. However this experience at 200... More

Overall - average experience. Only worth the money if you are very keen, and unlikely to go anywhere else to do this. We did the reindeer sledding trip, which cost 1595 NOK per person. Not many people chose to do the reindeers as they are slow paced in comparison to the dogs or snow mobiles. We booked on the morning... More

If you want to get away from the world, you must try the dog sledding in an almost forgotten valley near the border with Sweden. Together with my 2 boys of 20 and 16, we had a superb experience. We got warm clothing and special boots, so don't worry about the clothing. We were the only guests chat day, because... More

My fiance and I booked an all day dog sledding trip through Lyngsfjord Adventure and we were extremely disappointed with the level of service we received, as well as the overall value of the trip. The total trip cost US$300 (about NOK 1600) per person, which included pickup in the morning in tromso, a bus to the Fjord, dog-sledding, lunch... More

Dear thenotoriousmat, I write this in response to your experience with regards to the dog sledding experience in March. In this particular case you, as well as other guests, found the experience to be less than satisfactory. This winter has been challenging in terms of weather conditions (which can at times make the activities very challenging and cause delays to... More

We did the dog sledding tour, which involved a 1.5hr bus ride out to the camp, then about an hour or so with the dogs, followed by lunch and then the bus trip home. The whole trip felt a little impersonal, maybe because there were just so many people. There were about 20 people doing the dog sledding, and we... More

Check the weather before you book. Check your camera will be good for the trip but the guides are amazing otherwise. Bus tour is last chance.

We visited Lyngsfjord Adventure two days running - the first time we did the snowmobile trip, the second time we did the dog sledding. Both trips were terrific and we really enjoyed them. The guides are friendly and helpful and make sure you get the most out of your adventure, giving you the assistance you need but (and this is... More

Roy (our guide) was very attentive and informative about the northern lights and sami people and had a variety of activities for us to choose from as we had a cloudy night - we chose cross country skiing. All in all it was a fun evening even with no lights. That's life.

We visited Lyngsfjord as part of a Fjord Travel package which was billed as a Northern Lights Safari. We endured a one and a half our bus ride through built-up areas to get to the camp and then we had to walk along a road to the Sami tent. The guide gave us a talk about the Northern Lights by... Dear Sue H, I write this in response to your experience with regards to the northern lights experience in March. Seeing the Northern Lights sadly cannot be guaranteed, which is arguably part of the thrill. However, we pride ourselves in providing our guests with a satisfying experience even if the aurora should escape us. Normally, tents should be warm when... More

We were picked up at 08.45 and returned to Tromso at 15.45. The drive is 90 mins one way through some spectacular scenery. We were kitted out with very warm and water proof body suits, helmets and balaclavas. I would recommend bringing your own balaclava...mine was too baggy and really didn't serve any purpose in keeping the cold and biting... More
