Passed a very enjoyable afternoon at Mack's Brewery whilst stopping at Tromso on the Hurtigruten. Sampled the Christmas beer which is really good and wish there was a UK equivalent. The bar did not seem to be opened in the evening which is surprising, but would recommend a visit here to anybody spending time in Tromso. more
Scandinavia is famous for expensive alcohol. I personally associate it with very bad beer as well. What a pleasant surprise to stop by Mack's Brewery. We skipped the brewery tour and went straight for the brew-pub where we purchased a couple of good quality souvenir mugs and (for about twice as much as the cost of the mugs) the beer... more
