Some great works by an artistic genius. You are welcomed with a short documentary about his life and then there are many of his great works to view. Use the free wifi to avoid paying for an audio guide. A very enjoyable visit

I so wish I had seen 1 single cool/famous painting but they all were traveling so the entry to the museum was free, instead me and my boyfriend saw only 1 painting probably in 100 different forms, yet the museum looks nice, had a restoring workshop in which you can see the workers trough windows, and there was a little...

Very good museum with permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. Appreciated life of Munch from paintings and audioguide.
Do not miss out on this, and use your student card for half price entry. Amazing exhibition, shows the diversity of Munch's art an talents, you can be lost in there for hours reading and exploring all the exhibits. Only 10-15 minute walk from the center so would recommend walking through town to get the whole feel of Oslo
check out more of Munch works! I appreciate his work more now due to his in general less appreciated works. take your time, ask questions of the docents and dive in before screaming! you don't need to be an art enthusiast to like this museum!
If someone was willing to pay $120m for it then it must be special! This is the home of one of a number (I believe four) versions of the famous "Scream". On top of that it is home to a wonderful and diverse collections of Munch's work. I really enjoyed my time here and it is one of the few...

An excellent musuem full of the works of Edmund Munch, the Scream is in the first room that you visit, there are numerous other rooms after this full of Munch's art work. Very interesting, the musuem also covers Munch's life and the stories behind a lot of his work.
The storage room contains a huge number of Munchs paintings whitch has not be shown to the public. To small museum in a wrong geographical position. Besides there are not enough money to conserve all the paintings. A disgrace. TAKE CARE OF MUNCh and give him what he deserves! Nice cafe.
The collection is very little, and the audio tape only goes through several of his work, not the whole collection. A bit disappointed.
One of my favourite painter and I was very happy to be there...excellent collection of Edvard Munch paintings...I would definitely recommend it to everybody...It was a very emotional visit...
