Disigned by two of the greatest architects in Norway. Inside you can see beautiful paintings and decorations made by famous Norwegian artists.
The town hall isn't the nicest building I have ever seen, although it's imposing nature is somewhat impressive. The area around the town hall is also very nice, so it's a nice place to take a walk.
First time in Oslo, weekend trip.
Quite a nice surprise, the weather was fine and the city was a total surprise, on the positive side. Elegant dispite enormous building renovation of the bay area/downtown. Better visit during the weekend as workers are resting... The new Music House is amazing.
Take a boat for a Oslo bay cruise and don´t miss...

The building is an impressive bit of architecture and venturing inside you discover large rooms full of large paintings. Magnificent stuff.
I was walking and heard the Rådhus played songs with chimes! I was very nice to listen to.
From outside it looks like a big boring building but the inside is quite fascinating. The big hall where Nobel Prize is awarded is splendid but it is the smaller rooms that are so beautifully painted and decorated that make this a worthwhile visit.
