is a very nice and varied winterpark, with possibilities for all groups of skiers to have a go. Maybe not challinging for tehe good skier but still only a few minutes from the center of town. Of course only in winter time.

A short drive from Oslo. Public transport also convenient and easy. Shop with basic clothes and accessories as well as rentals of snowboard, downhill or cross country skiis. Ski/snowboard instruction available. Home of the 2012 World Snowboarding Championships. No really difficult mogul runs. One black diamond slope, long and fun to go fast!

Just back from 3 days snowboarding in Tryvann. (Sat, Sun and Monday). Had a great time all 3 days but especially on the Monday as it was so quiet, having the slopes completely to ourselves at times. The park itself is well organized, runs are not great in length but well compensated by the fact its just 15 minutes from city centre. There's decent rental facility, instructors and skiing schools for all ages. Snow can be a bit too hard, as it is this winter during limited snowfalll, but well groomed.
