On weekends there are guided tours once a day, well worth visiting
A building not like any other building in the city. Based on italian architecture, drawn and finished in 1866 by the swedish architect Victor Langlet. Wonderful interior.
It's possible to get guided tours in the building, and it's worth it. For anyone interested in the newer political history of Norway, it's worth a visit. It's central and I think it's a majestic building as well.
Taking a tour of Stortinget was interesting and free.
The parliament has a long summer holiday, but when it is in session, you can watch the debates from the gallery. They are normally not very exciting, and even less so if you don't understand Norwegian. You can also get a guided tour. The building itself is hardly worth a visit. They have a collection of art that might appeal...
