I didn't took the funicular. I walked to the top. It's not the easiest thing but it worth it. When upstairs look for the lake (another 10 minutes walking/ plane).

You can't go to Bergen and not go to the top of Fløyen. The Funicular takes you straight up to the top, where there's a huge platform for taking in the view as well as a small gift shop selling a hoard of tacky knick knacks. The top is also home to the restaurant Fløien Folkerestaurant. The Funicular is handicap-accessible...

Easy to access from the harbour area, NOK 80 pp return, fanastic views from the top, and a small cafe/shop. It was bright sunshine when we went, might be a little disappointing if cloudy.
Even with 1/2 off the price with the rip-off Bergen museum discount card, we found that we couldn't get enough other museums in to make this an actual discount. In other words, we paid the full price at the end of the day, even though we got a "discount." But this funicular wasn't worth 80 krone--the views were beautiful but...

I enjoyed a panaromic view of Bergen city from summit of Mt Floyen . A short walk of 20mins led me away fromn the crowds to a scenic lake. Walking downhill, I admired the unique architecture of Bergen houses built against the hills.
We were in Bergen during an amazing period of warm and dry weather - there is no better way to appreciate this wonderful city and the natural beauty around it - hike up the hill, It takes an hour going up and you can go up and down on different routes - see the neighborhoods or the trees. There are...

Brilliant ride to the top of the mountain overlooking Bergen and the Bryggen. A must see and do
If you have a Bergen Card -which you can buy at the tourist information located above the fishmarket and will get you discounts or free entrances into many museums and activities- you can take the cable train up for half the cost. In any case it's well worth a visit on a sunny day, the view is breathtaking. We sat...

If you can! Not worth paying the funicular when you can easily walk up the mountain in less than an hour if you are physically fit. I saw a young woman pushing a baby carriage with weights around her ankles and walking up. The views of Bergen are worth the journey up the mountain, either way you go, especially when...

Took the funicular up to Mount Floyen as part of an organised tour off a Holland America line cruise. No queuing for tickets as our guide had pre-booked them. The funicular took about 60 people and took us up a couple of hundred metres quickly (300m). Not much of a view going up which was quite quick and not particularly...
