Very impressive, we took a drive along its southern side, well worth it. Be aware that it is difficult to find cafes so best to take some provisions with you.

The boat ride was definitely not worth 400 Kr after seeing the lysefjord from hiking up to preikestolen; however, if you can't make the hike up, then do the boat cruise!

We took the boat tour from Stavanger harbor on a last-minute whim and are so glad we did. It is lovely to be out on the water, and there is much to see along the 2.5 hour route, including (of course) Preikestolen, waterfalls, the Vagabond Cave, the "troll heart," mussel farms, small villages, etc. Seeing Preikestolen from below gives a... Taking some hours on Rødnes boat to Lysefjorden is something you will not regret. This is Norwegian nature at it's most beatiful.

I have never experienced such raw and spectacular beauty and am in total awe every time I take the trip to Lysebotn. If you get the chance view it from the cliff tops aswell , maybe Pulpit rock , or Kjaerag ...youll get dizzy .

took a boat out to lysefyord to pulpit rock and the waterfall. it was absolutely beautiful and very inexpensive. the mountains were awe inspiring and pulpit rock magnificent against a cold blue sky. The boat takes you right under the freezing waterfall where you can hold out your glass and collect and drink icy fresh clear mountain water. fantastic. Do... More
