Ideal for those wanting to study (as many of the local Uni students seem to do) and for those wanting to have a quiet read but don't expect such luxuries in the more public areas. The staff make more noise than the public do. Something about 'that's how libraries should be, these days'. NO, NO, NO

Inside is a really interesting building too. Check out the stained glass and the lovely staircase. The library is extensive and provides a very good service.

Ipswich County Library is ideally situated in the town center, is very well stocked and with free membership to Ipswich residents and a great online reservation and renewal system, it is a treasure mine for any book lover. They also organize good toddler and children's sessions and community activities

Originally from Ipswich I have been in this wonderfull library many times. It has all the mod cons inside, internet access and has in the last 15yrs been beautifully modernised inside. Theres and Upstairs study area also for thise books that are not able to be taken out.
