A group of eight of us toured the college and had lunch in Riggers Restaurant. The guides were interesting and very knowledgeable.The facility is excellent and we particularly enjoyed our time in the simulator. The lunch was delicious and the views from the restaurant perfect. Staff could not have been more helpful.We would highly recommend this for adults or children.

Dominating the waterfront, as you approach Poole from the west, is the RNLI College aptly designed with architectural motifs reminiscent of the bows and bulwarks of a ship thrusting skywards. Yesterday we spent the afternoon going round the RNLI headquarters in Poole. Absolutely fascinating and an intriguing insight into the work they do. 11 in our group lead round by a most pleasant and knowledgeable guide, it finished with an excellent cream tea. Definitely a must if you are in the area

The tour lasts about 2 hours and covers the college site (but no the boatyard adjacent). Group outing to the College tour took about 1.5 hours and involves quite a few staircases. Our group age averaged 60+, no difficulties. Excellent catering in either cafe or restaurant.
