A pleasant walk from the well managed car park leads you to the revamped stable area where plentiful refreshments we're available. Then followed a gentle amble through the relaxing Priory grounds, we timed our walk to finish as the house opened to visitors. ..chose an easy route as the weather was poor but it was still a bit of a challenge!The house was closed but we'd visit again on a sunny day.

We took advantage of the National Trusts free day at Nostell Priory and had a good time. The house was interesting with lovely Chippendale pieces and the grounds were worth exploring although the parkland was better than the walk around the lake.

I visited on Easter Sunday, the grounds were full of families with children all having fun, Great! Then I visited the House, and immediately the atmosphere changed.
