I have a son who loves to draw and design so this is a great place to meander around as there is a variety of art on offer and will hopefully inspire him in his creations.

The Gallery is now closed. It will be replaced by the Hepworth, a very different and much larger purpose built gallery on the riverside opening in the next few months: it promises great things.

A little gem! Varied displays, something for all. Surprised by the number of well known names they have, on display and in store. Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth dominate but many well known artists as well. The building is really intimate inside, rooms not too big and not as in many galleries painted the usual white.
