The idea of housing an interactive science centre inside a disused steelworks sounds pretty cool, especially if much of the steelworking equipment forms part of the backdrop to the experience. The 'pavilions' for fire, earth, water etc. are very good and well planned out, they hold the childrens' attention and provide an interesting 'hands-on' activity. What spoils the experience, (as... This was our second visit with a gap of a good many years because the first was so disappointing. It is important to understand that you are paying as much for the experience of being inside the disused steelworks as anything else and that is awesome (literally, not common usage) The different sections of the exploratorium are set within this... Assisted with school trip here, brilliant experience. Lots of "hands on" stuff for the kids, sure they learnt lots about the subjects, earth, wind, water and air. Very cold in there, so wrap up warm, regardless of weather outside, and lots and lots of walking, so comfy shoes! Also, when in the water section, huge possibility of getting wet, so... More

I was bought a Awesome Foursome Experience at Magna for my 50th !!! From the moment we arrived at Magna the team where nothing short of fantastic assisting with any paperwork and constantly keeping you calm. The build up through the challenges is great to get you in the frame of mind to take on the Bungee as the last... More

The beginning of the experience is very dark & cold. Perhaps they were trying to depict the "Satanic Mills" The fire, wind & earth features are very good, bit too scientific perhaps for younger children but very intuitive. Big let down, so many hands-on items not working with a notice stating under repair/maintenance. For example two bays with a magnetic... More

With how much this cost we were hoping for fun day out for the family, half of the displays didn't work, some exhibitions, demonstrations were cancelled, it was not very disability friendly we've a child in a wheelchair and we struggled after only 1hr 30 we'd finished and we walked slow so disappointing the icing on cake was expecting a... We went with two children aged 5 and 8 last Saturday. Firstly the good; the outdoor play area is one of the best, and certainly the largest, we've ever been to. They could have happily spent 2 hours or so there. All the equipment was clean and in good working order. The outdoor water park was an even bigger hit... More

Attended Prog rock festival, have never had to stand for 13 hours in such low temperature unless I was walking on Dartmoor! Great music shame about the fridge it was held in.

We went as a family of four with 2 children age 7 and 12. First point is make sure you wrap up warm. We went over Easter and it was absolutely freezing! Plenty for kids to do as it is all hands on. Some parts of the attraction are under construction / repair but once these have been completed or... More

Visited the Magna Centre today to leap into The Abyss @ Magna, a UK Bungee Club site! The site is impressive on arrival, a former steelworks converted into a thrill zone and active museum. Parking was free and easy aswell, which is always good. Unfortunately for UK Bungee Club, they very nearly spoil the whole experience on arrival. We entered... More
