My wife, daughter and I decided to visit Magna on Bank Holiday Monday for something different. We drove the 100 miles from home and arrived to a well signposted attraction with plenty of parking. it wasn't the warmest day and for some reason there was a long queue which stretched out of the fairly small reception area (not sure why... Let me start by saying my children love Magna, we can very easily spend a whole day there and the fact you can sign up for a free year pass so easily is very appealing as a family. However every time we go there seems like there is something else not working or damaged

The place was quieter than we expected which was good from a parking and queuing point of view. The areas, water, fire, air and Earth all had some interesting things to keep the kids busy and with children aged between 4-8 there was something for everyone with a good "learn through play" ethos. The biggest low point for us as... More

Magna is a great place to go for a day out with the family and is also suitable for school trips. The children's play area outside is great place to go during nice weather. Also if the weather is warm take the kids some swimwear as their are plenty of water style attractions in the play area. The price of... More

When have been to Magna for several years now and re-visited this Easter break with my two youngest children who are aged 12 ( going on 30 - and very hard to please) and 10 year old - with special needs. Magna is a great place to go when the weather is not so good but even better when the... More

The Magna Centre is really good with plenty of things for kids and adults to do and has a fantastic outdoor play area for after you finished inside. The only thing is lots of the equipment were out of order so you cant fully appreciate everything there is to offer, there were even parts of the outdoor play area that... More

Magna is a fabulous heritage site for British steel but it should never have been turned into this atrocious children's attraction. It is over priced, most of the hands-on features are faulty & out of service. It's mostly uninteresting for children of most ages, sometimes even scary for the very young ones. The main attraction inside the building is a... More

We have just come back from Magna and really enjoyed every minute. Considering it was a bank holiday we got through the entrance really quickly. My little one is four and she loved everything.I would recommend you take extra clothes as the water area is fab and children and adults alike love getting wet. All the areas were really well... Very cold and dark, cafe expensive. Not as it looks on the brochure at all. shame really as it could be great .
