We met some lovely people..everyone was so friendly, and the whole experience very moving, from the devotion of the staff, to the individual histories of the donkeys.... More

In school holidays it is sometimes possible for young children to have a donkey ride although this is more often restricted to children with additional needs, who need to pre-book... More

Great place to visit, even in early spring. Donkeys around every corner, and so very friendly! From Sidmouth, catch the 52A bus. Will drop you off at the main road in to the sanctuary.

The Donkey Sanctuary is open from early morning to Dusk and is the most relaxing place I know. Entry is free, but donations are welcome. In the yard you can get up close and personal with the Donkeys and most days there are special events. Perhaps a trip to see the large Poitou Donkeys or a trailer ride. The grounds... More

Great to see the good work this place does for the donkeys. Great to walk around to see the donkeys up close, so much space available for them.
