Took one of my grandaughters for a hat making session, she loved it & the staff were great with the children. Havent been there for very long time & it has changed quite a lot, still lots of things I remember though & news ones to see & of course a walk round the park afterwards.

Wardown Park Museum, shows the visitor all they wish to know about Luton and the surrounding area. The Museum can track the history of the Luton area certainly back to the Saxon times, Luton's Industrial heritage is also well highlighted with both Vauxhall & SKF well documented, I must mention that Luton played a very big part in the evacuation... It is a good museum with an outdoor section of craftworkshops. The park is large with swings etc for the kids. Well worth a visit.

Lots of history regarding the bedforshire area. Saxon and Roman finds displayed well and informative. Often special activities for children during school holidays. There is talk of closing down this museum, which in my opinion would be a shame. Children will also love the old toy exhibition, as to-day most things are computerised, or battery operated.

Great things on for the kids, and also a nice place to go for a walk in the middle of a town

Interesting museum with lots of different things to see, usually with themes each month. In the middle of a large park, close to the town centre.

The museum is well laid out and interesting with hands-on exhibitis for youngsters. Although not a Lutonian myself, I have lived in Luton for over 40 years and find this a fascinating window into the past.

Of course, it do not collect as many as collections as British Museum, but it could give you a sence of life that is why I think it is better than British Museum. I saw many... More
