Oh I do like to be almost by the seaside! A great tradition of the promenade, with the bandstand and excellant views over the Channel to france. Don't miss the Zig Zag path, winding its way down from the Leas to the amitheatre and Coastal park. Constructed from local landfill rubbish, as a means of providing work for the unemployed... More

Very nice on the Lease but shame we had to avoid so many areas fouled by dogs.

I find it very relaxing walking along the Leas, it's lovely to see so many enjoying eating their lunches on the green. There is always a lovely display showing the emblem of a charity. My husband and a colleague planted in excess of 60,000 plants in for the Gurkha charity. His work was acknowledged and he met and shook hands... More

Folkestone is wonderful for its variety of scenery and outlooks. The Leas are an example of this. It is extremely spacious, and easy walking, with wonderful views over the channel. The grass and flowerbeds are well maintained by the council, with plenty of seats along the way. There are many choices of well maintained paths down to the Coastal Park and... More

The Leas in Folkestone is a perfectly nice cliff top walk with lovely views of the sea and wide open green spaces but I don't think that it should be classed as an attraction.

Apart from the water cliff railway its just a pleasant place IF the suns out and its not TOO windy to streach your legs, but I would not go so far as class it as a "attraction" Im afraid

This promenade has been one of our favourites for a number of years. To see the grand hotels at the western end, to the fine houses along its Half mile length. There are swathes o f grass and flower beds aplenty, all kept in lovely condition. Lots of room for the children to play and for the grown-ups to laze... More
