great to walk as far or as short as you can mange, quite accessible for those with mobility issues. the noise of the water is extreme but wonderful and you can imagine sitting meditating, maybe only for a wee while though!

Ossian's Hall is a must to see if you are in the area - earlier in the day you go the better and able to appreciate the quiet tranquility it offers. Great palce to spend a couple of hours in the forest walks along the river.
Nothing much to add to my title. In this case the parking fee is fair enough as there are no business facilities. See for yourself and be enchanted. Do the Braan Walk if you can spend some xtra time and you will see another stunning waterfall at Rumbling Bridge.
The door into Ossian's Hall is well camouflaged and has to be forced hard to open it. There is then a sliding door at the rear which takes you out on to the viewing area, where you get a great view of the falls. When we were between the 2 doors my wife felt a litle scared and was glad...

The Hermitage is very popular and can get quite crowded - I'm not sure why, there's nothing special there at all, and there are plenty of lovely forest walks around the area. Ossian's Hall is nothing to write home about - go to Allean Forest instead, where there's an Iron Age fort, a reconstructed bothy etc.
Went for a walk to the Hermitage and on to Ossian's hall. Then on to Rumbling bridge and over the hill back to Hermitage car park, About 4 1/2 miles. Spectacular scenery, well worth the effort
great waterfall and easy walk - have been many times and would return.
Visited the Hermitage on our way back from Dunkeld Cathedral. The walk through the forest was magical and we almost had the place to ourselves. It had rained the day before so the water was coming through very strongly and if there were any salmon about, they would have had to be pretty athletic to have leapt up it.
We went to the Hermitage for a walk on a beautiful Autumn morning, and were not disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone, the paths are easy, we saw families with young children, and prams, managing most of it. The Black Falls are amazing (watch out for some rather risky bits there, be sensible) great views from Ossian's Hall, and...

Amazingly scenic walk though woodland beside river. The 'folly' is named after old Scots/Irish Gaelic legend Ossian and contains fragments of Gaelic poetry and scenes from the legend. Stunning view over the raging waterfall. Area good for walkers or cyclists.
